For 75 years, the scene of professional public life was provided by the Lighting Station in E\u00f6tv\u00f6s Street, the right of use of which was terminated in 2002. Then the non-profit foundation Magyar Vil\u00e1g\u00edt\u00e1stechnik\u00e1z was established, which purchased the new headquarters in 2003, the Lighting House at \u00c1rp\u00e1d \u00fat 67, 1042 Budapest, with the financial support of VTT. The ceremonial opening of the new institution took place at the general assembly of VTT on February 28, 2004.
